North Star Online Discussion Groups

North Star sponsors a variety of discussion groups intended to provide a moderated forum in which you can post and read messages of support, compassion, and encouragement, as well as individual experiences of doubt, fear, hope, and joy. >> MORE ABOUT DISCUSSION GROUPS

As interest, need, and activity level evolves, these groups are subject to change. If there is a particular demographic for which you feel a group would be beneficial, please let us know. If there is sufficient interest, we will consider creating such a group.

If you would like to join more than one group – and are eligible according to the demographic – each group must be joined separately.

Main Discussion Groups

Youth

This group is for teens (ages 13-18), male and female.

Young Adults

This group is for young adult men and women (ages 18-35), married or single.

Men

This group is for men who experience homosexual attraction, as well as men who have never experienced homosexual attraction whose sole motivation is to give support and increase their own understanding.

Women

This group is for women who experience homosexual attraction, as well as women who have never experienced homosexual attraction whose sole motivation is to give support and increase their own understanding.

Spouses

This group is for wives of men and husbands of women who were formerly homosexually oriented, those who currently experience homosexual attraction, or those who have embraced their homosexuality. Currently married, divorced, and prospective spouses are welcome.

Friends and Family

This group is for parents, siblings, spouses, friends, or local Church leaders to provide an open and supportive forum to encourage, strengthen, and educate one another, and to learn how to best encourage, strengthen, build up, and support our same-sex attracted loved ones.
